Itinerary 4 Day tour: Northern Morocco

Day 1: Tanger - Tetoun - Chefchaouen

We’ll pick up you from the airport or at your hotel. From there we drive through the Rif Mountains and we continue to Tetoun city and stop a couple of times to enjoy the views of this city and  the Rif Mountains, we drive until we arrive to the small town called Chefchaouen. This town is probably the most beautiful mountain town of Morocco.  All buildings and houses are painted in blue and white and it’s build in a Spanish style. This town is very relaxed with small winding alleyways and market squares, scarfs stores. It is captivating to walk through the old town grasping the different colors. We will spend the rest of day exploring the city. You sleep in a hotel here.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fès

We will depart in the morning to Volubilis. This is a Roman ruin  and is partly excavated. Now it is listed on UNESCO world heritage site. These ruins are undeniably impressive,  you can see the view of the old homes and their fantastic mosaic work. After our visit to Volbulis we will  follow  the  road to the Meknes, the ancient imperial city. This is city is known as the Versaille of Morocco. Here we will view some of the historical sites; explore the monumental gates when we pass the city. Then we take our road to Fès.

Day 3: Day Tour In Fès

After breakfast we will guide you through the medina, one of the world’s largest walled-in cities.  In the south west wall of the medieval Medina is a beautiful looking entry, the Bab Bou Jeloud. It gives excess to narrow streets that are lined up with fresh fruits spices, woven Berber carpets etc.  This medina is very large, it is about 3 km. And therefore one of the largest medina´s of the world.   We will visit the El Qaraouiyyin Mosque, the place Nejjarine and the tanneries. At the tanneries you can watch locals work on skins of goat, lamp, camel and cow, in small pits.

Dinner and overnight stay at hotel/Riad.
